90th Oscar award-winning event to be held.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences offers prizes of 24 categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Documentary, every year. In the meantime, the name of the nominees for the 90th edition was announced. The US fiction-based film The Shape of Water The film is nominated for the highest number of 13 categories in the Oscars this year, including Best Director, Best Actress. Prior to this, 'The Shape of Water' was nominated for the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress in 12 categories.
Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' has been nominated for the second highest number of eight categories. Seven nominations came in 'The Three Billboards Outside Abeing, Missouri'
On Tuesday (January 23rd) the nomination list of Academy Awards was published in the evening. The list announced at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in California's Beverly Hills, British actor Andy Circis and US actress Tiffany Haddish. Academy President John Bailey introduces them.
There were nominations for the best picture category along with 'The Shape of Water', 'Call Me by Your Name', 'Darquest Hawara', 'Dunkar', 'Get Out', 'Lady Bird', 'Phantom Thread'.
Best Director, Guizermo del Toro, Christopher Nolan, Grey Garwig, Paul Thomas Anderson Timothy Chalmette, Daniel Day-Lewis, Daniel Culluyya, Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington, nominated for Best Actor category. And actresses have got nominations in the category of Sally Hawkins, France MacDoRomand, Margot Rabi, Merrill Strip, Saberis Ronanan.
'Baby Driver', 'Dunkirk', 'Eye, Tonya', 'The Billboards Outside and Biz, Missouri' has been nominated for Best Editing category.
Jimmy Kimmel returns as the presenter. The 90th Academy Awards will be held on March 4 in the Dolby Theater of Los Angeles, Los Angeles. This event will be broadcast live on ABC network in more than 22 countries.
