The hunger strike for the teachers who were trained in the government primary schools to demand wage reduction.

Assistant teachers protesting at the Shaheed Minar said their demands were the same. The trained teachers will be given only one step below the paid head teachers of trained teachers. At present, salaries are paid at three levels below the head teachers. The main teachers get salaries at the 11th grade (this grade is the starting salary of Rs 12,500) on the pay scale. And the assistant teachers get the salary of the 14th grade (the starting salary of this grade is 10,200 rupees). Besides the training, there are teachers. Their pay scale is one step lower.
